Butcher country track/caledonia track/west toward Jamieson

This Caledonia trip,

This Weekend is a "Hard trip" that means possible torn tyres, bush pin striping and lots of winching.

Members will have had to have done driver training.

Meeting in Licola Saturday morning and ending in Mansfield on Tuesday about lunch.

The trip will be mobile recommend swag or small tent, no camper trailers, prepare for all weather!

Trip is over 4 days Max 8 4wds including trip leader

Must have all terrain tyres, lift on suspension and 4wd in good mechanical condition..

Must have recovery gear, trucks must have snorkel, Recovery points front and rear are required and a snatchem strap must be carried.

Must have CB radio 

There are several river crossings which can vary in depth, some requiring a snorkel, depending on conditions.

Full tanks of fuel leaving Licola. Fuel additive in diesel fuel still recommended at this time of year 

Meeting Point: Licola general store 8am Saturday morning

Starting in Licola, heading towards and driving up butcher country track then heading across butcher country/Caledonia link track stopping for lunch at base of Caledonia track.

Then the fun starts, camping Saturday night on Caledonia track.

By lunch time Sunday morning we should be at Howits/Taboritha road. At this point we will decide which way we will take depending how much time the trip has taken so far.

But if the trip is going well we will head down butcher country track and head west towards Jamieson stopping at woods point on the way this will be more of an adventure due to the terrain can be a lot harder.

Finishing up in Mansfield Tuesday for the drive home.
