The RRCV's annual Labour Day weekend in Dargo is on again in 2010. It's a wonderful weekend that offers something for everyone...

Vehicle Limit: None. This trip will cater for large numbers.
Trip Distance: Dargo is approximately 4 hours from Melbourne.
Fuel Requirements: Fuel on way and fuel available at Base Camp (no LPG)
Meeting place: Base Camp “Wonangatta Caravan Park”
Please try to arrive anytime Friday 5th or before 9 am Saturday 6th at Wonangatta Caravan Park, at Waterford 10km BEFORE Dargo. Cross Wonangatta River on narrow concrete bridge, look for Park and Fuel Station on left less than l km past bridge. Vic Roads Map 83E2.

In the Park, follow the RRCV signs – Trip Leaders will be there to meet you.
Essentials: Vehicles in sound condition, basic recovery gear, spares and good tyres. Hat, torch, good footwear, warm clothes (cold nights), swimmers, NAME TAGS, kids bikes. Simple, “on the move” lunches, food for 3 days, drinking water and port.
DO NOT bring: Pets, firearms, or motorbikes.
Radio: UHF CHANNEL 10
Maps: If required, “BushMaps Vic. Crooked River- Dargo”, or VicMap: “Crooked River-Steve 8323-S” available at the Melbourne Map Centre.
TRIP NOTES:
This is a Base Camp for 3 nights: Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Bring your own tent, camper or caravan. Some on-site vans available. If you wish to come early or stay longer please let Phill know and he will notify the proprietors.
Dargo is approached via Princes Highway through Sale & Stratford. Approx. 23 km past Stratford turn to Fembank, follow signs to Dargo. Take care on Dargo road especially if towing.
Several Trips will take place each day and return to base.
It is planned to have the SPIT ROAST DINNER on the Saturday night - costs to be confirmed. This has been a very popular part of the weekend and Bookings for the Dinner will be essential.
The Annual Cricket Match – “The Rovers versus the Rabble” - takes place on Sunday afternoon. More details of trips and the weekend programme in coming editions of Torque.
Park Amenities are hot showers, toilets, pwd. sites, gas BBQ, fuel, basic stores, good swimming in Wonangatta River.
Bookings: Sign on below or place names in the trip Book or email the Trip Coordinator. We will be making a BULK BOOKING, please book early to help us make arrangements. We will provide the rates closer to March when we have more of an indication of numbers. Please let us know if you need a powered site, when you plan to arrive and depart and how many will require the Spit Roast.
