New to 4WDing? You'll fit right in.

Most of our members didn't grow up four wheel driving — they joined because they wanted to learn, and found people happy to teach them.

• Not sure you're ready to bring your own vehicle? Come along as a passenger on a club trip first — just $17 for event insurance. It's a great, low-pressure way to see what a trip is really like.
• Beginner-friendly trips run regularly — every trip on our calendar is graded, so you can start easy and build up as you gain confidence.
• You're never on your own out there. Every trip has an experienced trip leader, and there's always someone happy to answer a "dumb question" (there isn't one).
• Free driver training through our AFWDC-accredited instructors gets you trail-ready — covering recovery, vehicle setup, and safe technique — before you're expected to tackle anything challenging.
• Come to a club meeting first if you'd rather meet people before you commit to a trip. First Tuesday of every month at the Glasshouse, Caulfield Racecourse — no obligation, just come along and say hi.

What you can expect

Founded in 1977 as the Range Rover Club of Victoria, we're one of Victoria's longest-established 4WD clubs. Over the years the club has evolved to welcome owners of all makes of 4WD vehicles and people from all walks of life, brought together by a love of the great outdoors and a sense of adventure!

Trips run most weeks, and cover the full range:

• Challenging & technical trips — e.g. High Country
• Medium and easy 4WD trips across Victoria
• Outback touring — multi-day trips further afield
• Fixed-base camping for a relaxed weekend away
• Social runs the whole family can join

Not every event even involves four wheel driving — winery tours, restaurant nights, and other social get-togethers are a regular part of club life too.

Membership Cost

At the show: $150 for 10 months membership (plus $155 joining fee)

Membership runs on an annual cycle from 1 July.
