This trip has been postponed - there has not been enough interest.  Anthony will look at running an easier night trip a bit later - Watch out for this shortly.  It will be a great opportunity to add another dimension to your 4WDriving experiences.

Date and Time:  8pm on Saturday 26/02/2022, until 1am or 2am on Sunday 27/02/2022. (This is one night of driving, not a camping trip).

Meeting arrangements:  Broadford Train Station car park (High Street, Broadford)

Description:  This will be an exploratory night trip to Mount Disappointment. We will be starting from Broadford, where we shall meet at 8:00 pm to group and have a quick briefing. We will then head up to Murchison Lookout. Then onto Wild Dog Gully Road. After that we will go to Sailor Jack Road. We will also try and find some of the harder tracks at Mount Disappointment.

Equipment:  Well-maintained vehicle with low range (or equivalent, good clearance (200mm recommended as a minimum), Must have a good set of all terrain tyres (mud tyres preferred). Recovery points, standard recovery gear including dampener, rated snatch strap and shackles, shovel and UHF radio (or one borrowed from the club). Head torch and a good flashlight will also come in handy. A good set of aftermarket driving lights or lightbar will be essential. Please also bring food and water/drink as we shall stop for a late supper.

Trip standard:  Hard to very hard depending on weather. This is an exploratory trip.

Convoy limit:  5

Fuel:  A full tank from Melbourne will be enough.
