Meeting at Yea we will travel on various back roads and forest tracks to the Cheviot Tunnel, a disused railway tunnel and then to make a quick visit to the Murrindindi Beanie & Fibre Festival in Alexandra (http://beanie.org.au/ ). Travelling via more bush tracks we will enjoy lunch at the Black Spur Inn before taking more bush tracks back to Warburton. We will be utilising as many back roads and tracks as possible.
We will have morning tea in the bush so please bring your food and water supplies with you.
Clothing and boots suitable for walking in the bush and wet and cold conditions
No pets please.
Weather: It is winte in Victoria, so, potentially cold and wet. Review the local weather forecast leading up to the trip and bring appropriate clothing, footwear for a short walk in the bush.
Equipment: Below are the recommended vehicle requirements. If you are not sure if you vehicle is suitable for a trip, please have a chat with the trip leader.
Low range, Snatch strap and 2 rated shackles, Rated recovery points, 5 watt UHF radio, Maxtrax if you have them, First aid kit, Camera.
Trip Standard: Easy – Mainly gravel forestry roads.

Distance: Approx 100kms from Yea to Black Spur Inn, Narbethong. 133kms Melbourne to Yea

Convoy limit: 10 vehicles
Passengers & non-member participation: If you wish to bring a passenger that is not a partner or your child visit they must register as Temporary Members to join in. See our website for details.
Temporary (Guest) Membership
Temporary Members are NOT allowed to drive with out speaking to the Trip Leader first. This is to ensure that the driver and vehicle are sufficiently prepared for the trip.
Meeting arrangements: We plan to meet at the Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre ( https://yeawetlands.com.au/ ) and depart at 9.00am sharp. If you plan to get coffee beforehand then you will need to arrive a little earlier. We will aim to finish about 4.00pm in Warburton.
