A Scenic Bush Wander and Pub Lunch
Date and time: 9:00am to 4:00pm, Sunday 10th March
Trip Standard: Easy/Scenic – Mainly gravel forestry roads.
Description: New Members and Families Welcome. Please contact your trip leader if you are unsure of any of the following requirements for this trip.
We will be meeting at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie near Yarra Glen ( https://www.yvci.com.au/ ) to stock up on Easter goodies, we will travel on various roads and gravel forest roads through the bush to Narbethong. After a relaxed lunch at the Black Spur Inn we will travel via the Acheron Way to Warburton where the trip will finish.
Please bring your picnic supplies as we will be enjoying morning tea in the bush.
No pets please.
Weather: Keep an eye on the weather forecast for the Yarra Glen and Warburton area.
Equipment: Below are the recommended vehicle requirements. If you are not sure if your vehicle is suitable for a trip, please have a chat with the trip leader.
A well-maintained vehicle with normal road tyres are OK for this trip (All Terrain tyres would be preferred), UHF radio (or one borrowed from the club). Recovery gear is not mandatory, but if you have it, bring your standard recovery gear including, rated snatch strap, shackles and a shovel First Aid kit, camera. Clothing and boots suitable for walking in the bush and weather conditions on the day.
Morning tea will be in the bush – byo simple, “on the move” morning tea (byo thermos).
No camper trailers, pets or firearms
Fuel: A full tank ex Yarra Glen. Fuel is available in Yarra Glen and Warburton.
Distance: Approx 100kms from Yarra Glen to Black Spur Inn, Narbethong. 55kms Melbourne to Yarra Glen

Convoy limit: 10 vehicles
Meeting arrangements: We will meet at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie near Yarra Glen ( https://www.yvci.com.au/ ) and depart at 9.30am. If you plan to get coffee or stock up on Easter goodies beforehand then you will need to arrive a little earlier. We will aim to finish about 4.00pm at Warburton
Club Guest Registration policy: It is club policy in regard to insurance cover that if a member brings any non-members on the trip they must be registered and have paid the required fee as Temporary Members BEFORE the event.
i.e. non- members can no longer register on the day with the trip leader.

Also if a non-member wishes to bring their own vehicle, the member inviting the non-member must contact the trip leader for approval to bring the vehicle. Such approval will take into account skills of the driver, suitability of the vehicle and whether or not a place within the convoy limit is available for a non-member's vehicle.
