The 4WD & Sports Car Treasure Hunt
Date and time: 9:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday 18th April with the option to stay for dinner or overnight in Myrinong.
Trip Standard: Easy – Mainly gravel forestry roads.
Description: Please contact your trip leader if you are unsure of any of the following requirements for this trip.
What it is: A hunt to answer treasure-hunt style questions which takes you across the countryside. You'll need to work in a team of two cars, one sports car, one 4WD. Some questions are 4WD-only, others are sports car, others require teamwork. You choose
What you need:
- A sports car or a 4WD
- Ideally two or more people in the car; this is a family activity!
- Mobile phones, pens, paper, notepad all a good idea.
How it works:
- Meet at The Plough - https://www.theplough.com.au/
- Briefing and team pairups at 0930
- Go out and find questions! But, plan before you rush out...
- Expected return around 15:00 - then results given. Tiebreaker if necessary. Prize awarded.
- Stay for dinner. The Plough also has 4 rooms so you can overnight. There is a historic walk around Myniong too.
When, where, how long?
- Sat 18/04/26, starting at The Plough, 17 Main St, Myrniong
- Briefing at 09:30 - arrive before if you want coffee/breakfast
- 09:30 - 16:00 - treasure hunt in the Bacchus Marsh - Trentham - Daylesford area
- 16:30 - results announced
- 17:00 - drinks then dinner, please join us
Other questions:
- 4WDs will need to drive offroad and be independently confident of navigation and recovery.
- No sports car will need to drive on an unsealed road save for a driveway or two.
- There will be ample opportunity for lunch and toilet stops. 4WD people may wish to bring their own lunch and use trees

Meeting arrangements: We will meet at the Plough, 17 Main St, Myrniong
Briefing at 09:30 - arrive before if you want coffee/breakfast .
We will aim to finish about 4.00pm back at Myrniong where the results will be announced. After that you we would like you to join us for dinner.
Club Guest Registration policy: It is club policy in regard to insurance cover that if a member brings any non-members on the trip they must be registered and have paid the required fee as Temporary Members BEFORE the event.
i.e. non- members can no longer register on the day with the trip leader.

Also if a non-member wishes to bring their own vehicle, the member inviting the non-member must contact the trip leader for approval to bring the vehicle. Such approval will take into account skills of the driver, suitability of the vehicle and whether or not a place within the convoy limit is available for a non-member's vehicle.
