Day trip around the Otway National Park

Trip Standard: Easy to Medium. Beginners with stock vehicles welcome.
Description: Please contact your trip leader if you are unsure of any of the following requirements for this trip.
Easy-medium day trip around the Otway National Park starting in the Anglesea area, with visits to the beach on the Great Ocean Road, possibly a waterfall or short walk or two, no specific plan other than a generalised 4WD based bimble because why not.
Weather: Yes. Going regardless.
Equipment: Below are the recommended vehicle requirements. If you are not sure if your vehicle is suitable for a trip, please have a chat with the trip leader.
Mandatory

4x4 vehicle
- 80-channel UHF radio, ideally in-car but handheld is ok.
Recommended
- Traction ramps e.g. Maxtrax, x4.
- Snatch strap or KERR
- Shovel
- Sense of humour
No camper trailers, pets or firearms
Maps and Reference Material: Meridian Otway Map.
Fuel: A full tank ex Melbourne.
Distance: Wyndham Cache is approximately 35 km from the Melbourne CBD. The trip distance is 200+km with a variety of high and low range driving.
Duration: 1 day
Convoy limit: 4 vehicles

Club Guest Registration policy: It is club policy in regard to insurance cover that if a member brings any non-members on the trip they must be registered and have paid the required fee as Temporary Members BEFORE the event.
i.e. non- members can no longer register on the day with the trip leader.

Also if a non-member wishes to bring their own vehicle, the member inviting the non-member must contact the trip leader for approval to bring the vehicle. Such approval will take into account skills of the driver, suitability of the vehicle and whether or not a place within the convoy limit is available for a non-member's vehicle.
