Description: Explore old growth forests, cool temperate rainforests, alpine heights and a remote nature reserve.
Featuring guided drives, short walks and evening talks by noted botanists David Cameron & Kevin Thiele and ecologist and wildlife carer Rena Gaborov.
This event is hosted by the Friends of Errinundra, free camping is available at the Wilson's Hut campground just out of Bendoc, evenings are based at the Bendoc Hall.
Fuel and supplies available at Orbost and Delegate (reduced opening hours).
Bendoc Hotel has accommodation and meals available. Recommend early booking.

Accommodation: Free camping at Wilsons Hut with 2 bush toilets. Suitable for caravans. If towing a caravan recommend driving via the longer route of Cann River and Bombala. Showers available at the Bendoc Hall for a gold coin donation. Other accommodation is available.
Equipment: Below are the recommended vehicle requirements. If you are not sure if your vehicle is suitable for a trip, please have a chat with the trip leader.
A well-maintained vehicle with normal road tyres are OK for this trip (All Terrain tyres would be preferred), UHF radio (or one borrowed from the club). Recovery gear is not mandatory, but if you have it, bring your standard recovery gear including, rated snatch strap, shackles and a shovel.
Additional Equipment required: Camping gear food and drinking water for 4 days / 3 nights in the bush. Clothing for wet and cold conditions. Morning tea and lunches will be in the bush each day – byo simple, “on the move” lunches and morning teas (byo thermos).
No pets or firearms
Weather: Potentially cold and wet, so please bring clothing, footwear and camping gear suitable for the conditions and keep an eye on the weather forecast for the Orbost area.

Distance: Bendoc is approximately 475 km from Melbourne. The trip distance from Bendoc is 100 km of mainly high range driving.
Duration: 4 days
Convoy limit: 10 vehicles
Meeting arrangements: We will meet at 2:00 pm on Friday 3rd April at Bendoc Hall, Dowling Street, Bendoc.
We will aim to finish about 2.00pm at Bendoc on Monday.
Club Guest Registration policy: It is club policy in regard to insurance cover that if a member brings any non-members on the trip they must be registered and have paid the required fee as Temporary Members BEFORE the event.
i.e. non- members can no longer register on the day with the trip leader.

Also if a non-member wishes to bring their own vehicle, the member inviting the non-member must contact the trip leader for approval to bring the vehicle. Such approval will take into account skills of the driver, suitability of the vehicle and whether or not a place within the convoy limit is available for a non-member's vehicle.
