Description:   There is a trip limit of 6 people, not vehicles.  If more than one person is coming with you, you MUST add them as a guest.

A small group tour has been arranged of the PACCAR factory in Bayswater where Australia’s top selling Kenworth and DAF custom designed and built heavy duty trucks are made. This is a rare opportunity to see one of the last auto manufacturing plants in Australia. Trucks will be in build while we are on the tour. Tour groups are kept small to ensure your safety in a working manufacturing environment.

The tour will start promptly at 1:30pm. The tour guide will not wait for late-comers.

For those who wish, we will enjoy a pre-tour lunch at Club Kilsyth from 11:30.

Due to the nature of the manufacturing environment, and for competitive reasons, there are strict eligibility guidelines. PACCAR advise the following.

Participants should be aware of, and note the following:

• The plant tour takes between 1.5 to 2 hours and participants are required to walk approximately 1.5 km to complete the tour

• The tour route includes steps, potential tripping hazards, and exposure to loud noises from tools and warning alarms
• Smoking and cameras are not permitted in the factory
• Mobile phones are to be switched off during the tour
• Mobile plant including forklifts and electric buggies are in use throughout the plant
• Finished trucks are constantly moving/reversing in areas adjacent to the plant, along with numerous delivery vehicles
• People associated with competitive truck manufacturers or their suppliers will not be admitted

Whilst tour group numbers are limited, we have the ability to book a second tour the following week. So put your name on the wait list even if there are no spots available.
